I am a Principal Level Architect in the videogame industry with Turtle Rock Studios currently working on Back 4 Blood.  I primarily do my 3D design work in SketchUp where I specialize in map/level layouts, building/prop design, proof of concept in-game engine prototypes, modular systems (kits) and gameplay standards.

AREAS OF EXPERTISE
Videogames

Prior to Turtle Rock Studios I was at Valve Corporation. My environmental designs enhanced the narrative component of Valve’s rich gameplay as demonstrated in games such as Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. I’ve been fortunate to work with some amazing talents to help design immersive, compelling and fun environments for videogame players.

Feature Films and Television Shows
Prior to my transition to videogames I designed sets and props for feature films The Soloist, 3:10 to Yuma, Reign Over Me, The Santa Clause 3, and television shows Ugly Betty and Drive.

Architecture
Beginning in 1996 with a degree in Architecture from the University of Oregon, I was an Architect for 11 years in both the United States and Europe. My experience in that realm provided a solid base for my shift to designing videogame and VR environments for the entertainment world.
